Gojo Satoru

Role:  Protagonist during the backstory 

Voice actor: Yuuichi Nakamura

Physical description :

Gojo has spikey white hair with a height of more than 180 cm. He wears a black zip-up suit. He has crystal blue eyes, usually covered by a white bandage in his youth, and a black blindfold or black glasses in his adult life. 

Personality traits:

Gojo is a self-absorbed narcissist. He is known for his great battle strength and childish behavior during serious fights and discussions. He is a playful mentor and loves pulling pranks.

Backstory: 

Gojo's back story is revealed during season 2. That explains Gojo's decision to become a teacher despite his great powers and how Gojo and Suguro drifted apart after being best friends.

Suguru Geto

Role: Rival of Gojo 

Voice actor: Takahiro Sakurai

Physical description :

He has long black hair tied in a half-up man bun. He is more than 180 cm tall. He has piercings in each ear. He is usually dressed in baggy pants or kimono.

Personality traits : 

Geto has a unique ability that allows him to exercise and eat the curses he uses during battle. He stays in the company of Gojo and Riko, but somehow the two break when Geto sets his path differently from his friends. He thinks critically but keeps his mood light and mischievous when with his friends.

Backstory: the complete backstory will be revealed in Season 2 of Jujutsu. According to the manga, his villain arc started when his beliefs about Jujutsu turned into hatred for non-sorcerers. His hatred increased so much that he murdered hundreds of civilians in one night.

Shoko Leiri 

Role: Supporting character 

Voice actor: Aya Endo

Physical description: 

Has brown hair and eyes. Shoko has a mole under one of her eyes. She is seen wearing a black skirt and shirt in the initial episode of season 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen. As an adult, Shoko often has eyebags from overworking in the lab and saving command rates. She is often seen in a lab coat as an adult.

Personality traits:' Shoko is a tease, just like her friends Gojo and Geto, but she is a better judge of situations than most Jujutsu Kaisen characters. She plays an important role in saving her comrades, so she works in forensics. She also works as a primary nurse in koto jujutsu high.

Back story:

Her back story isn't as chaotic as others, but she is a valuable part of a team. She has healing powers known as the reverse technique. An ability that even Gojo doesn't have, making her an indispensable part of the jujutsu world.

She is always calm and collected and always appears to have a sensible plan in her hands. The manga revealed Shoko picking up smoking again because she feels neoplastic, indicating a trauma that will be revealed in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 

Toji Fushiguro

Role: The villain in the second season of Jujutsu Kisen

Voice actor:Takehito Koyasu

Physical description:

A large man with a muscle-defined body wears a black compressed shirt and loose pants. Has a scar on the corner of the lip.

Personality traits: 

He is hard to manage and a pragmatic individual. He rarely listens to orders from higher up, and Toji is always ready to kill. He hates inconvenience and plays by his rules.

Backstory:

Toji was born without curse energy in the Zainn clan; he compensates for his lack of cursed energy with his immense physical strength. The lack of cursed energy gives Toji the upper hand in battle since his energy can't be sensed, and he can attack his opponents swiftly, giving him the title of master of disguise.

Toji is married and took his wife's last name, changing his name from Zeinn to Fushiguro.

Mei-Mei 

Role: Side Character 

Voice actor: Kotono Mitsuishi

Physical description:

Her younger character in Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 has white hair in a ponytail wearing a long black dress with a grey tie; her older self wears a black dress as well but with her white hair in two braids, one in front and the other in the back.

Personality traits:

She loves her job but has a narcissistic personality. She loves money and always aims to work for the highest bids.

Story:

Mei is blinded by greed. She has no regard for politics and control. She wants to bank her efforts and work and gets paid a lot.

Mei Mei has been conscious of her earning since she was young, and training under her is undoubtedly a bigger task because narcissism and greed rule her mind, which is why she works hard to complete her job flawlessly.

Yuji Itadori 

Role Protagonist  

Voice actor: Junya Enoki

Physical description: 

A 15-year-old boy with pink hair and brown eyes. He possesses superhuman strength. He is now known as one of Gojo's fastest-learning students. 

Personality traits:

He is cheerful and bubbly yet hugely dangerous. He has great physical strength and fast learner.

Back story: 

Itadori accidentally swallowed Skuna's finger, and now he has the weight of saving humanity from the curse of Sakuna on his shoulders.

Itadori Yuji, the 15- year old protagonist of Jujutsu Kaisen also famous as the friendliest, kind, brave, and cheerful character of Jujutsu Kaisen.

The life of Itadori took a turn when he accidentally swallowed one of Sakuna's cursed fingers and became the host of the deadliest curse of humanity. He is taken under the wing of Gojo Satoru and trained to compete with the curses that plague the world around us. 

Megumi Fushiguro 

Role: Season lead character / Itadorie’s best friend 

Voice actor: Yuma Uchida

Physical description: 

A 15-year-old boy with spikey black hair usually wears a black overall suit.

Personality traits: 

He is rational and responsible, and calculating.

Backstory: 

After his father's death, Megumi took his mother's last name and changed his name from Megumi Toji to Megumi Ishiguro. He is ready to fight curses alongside Yuji to save him from a curse that has his sister in the clutches of a coma.

Megumi Fushiguro is a 15-year-old student. He is one of the first-year students of Tokyo jujutsu high who studies under the mentorship of Gojo Satoru. Megumi is a skilled second-grade sorcerer and a loyal friend of Itadori and Nobara. 

Nobara Kawasaki 

Role Second lead character / Itadori's best friend

Voice actor: Asami Seto

Physical description:

Short brown hair and wears a black shirt and skirt uniform, uses hands-on hands battle and wields straw doll technique. 

Personality traits:

She takes all her tasks seriously and shares a special bond with Itadori and Megumi. 

Backstory:

She is from the countryside, Sendai, Miyagi prefecture. Nobara was treated as an outcast back in the village because people assumed she looked down on them. After all, she was a city girl. 

Nobara is a 15-year-old student at Tokyo Jujutsu High; she is a grade two source. The village people never considered Nobara and her friend Saori as their own, so she moved back to the city after being bullied for not being a city girl. 

Nobaea is nonchalant and accepts genuine friendship. She doesn't fake her emotions and attachments and chooses her friendships. She equips the straw doll technique along with her hand-on-hand combat. She is one of the best students under Gojo Satoru's wing.

Maki Zen'in 

Role: Side character 

Voice actor: Mikako Komatsu

Physical description: 

She has green hair in the anime and is usually seen in a ponytail. She wields a polearm and is resilient enough to use it on anyone keeping her away from her goal.

Personality trait: 

Maki is strong-willed and realistic. She has faced a lot of advisory from her elders for having faulty eyes that can't detect Jujutsu, but she developed enough skills to obliterate a first-grade curse.

Back story: 

Maki is an independent and strong-willed woman. Zenin clan is known for dreaming of their girls as irrelevant, so Maki collected resentment towards her elders and left her sister Mai to become a more potent sorcery and the head of the Lenin clan. 

Maki is a grade 4 student at Kyoto jujutsu high, but her skills are up to par with a first-grader Jujutsu sorcery. Maki fight desperately for strength and perfection to be called the strongest of the Zenin clan and put rest to their discrimination against girls. 

Mai was left alone among all the discriminating adults of the Zeinn clan, thus feeling resentment toward her sister because she left her.
